Well…that’s that. The internet beat THQ and gave us RVD and Ricky Steamboat! Leaked from a guy with the game…
Idiot of the year…
Now I was going to save this till after the game came out but we have a clear winner…and I mean, A WINNER! The biggest moron of them all.
For months Swat55 has been in the lead…a complete troll from the official boards who has a real problem with lying…I mean, this kid is a tit, an utter gimp…but while the RVD debate was going on, many others entered the race, leaps and bounds they made, getting ever closer to Swat55 with each comment (even after a THQ employee warned him to chill)…swearing that with no room for error, RVD was not in the game…but amongst the twits, one man/boy/idiot stood above the rest…he not only stood up…he entertained us all with his foolishness…his arrogance…and his unwillingness to listen to any kind of reason. This man, this boy…this thing with barely the intellectual properties of a monkey’s nipple had risen up and taken all of Swat55’s glory…this complete flippin’ imbecile is….
Not only did he FAIL in an EPIC manner, but he entertained us with his utter refusal to accept defeat…at one point he started attacking a moderator for posting his FAILs…then he starting squealing that people were calling him a ‘pedo’…that’s right, he went there. I mean, this tool really cemented himself in his stand that RVD is not in…and when his magnificent FAIL was displayed for the world to see…he somehow managed to make it worse.
Thank you L’BO KEN…you are made of FAIL….and SVRNerd’s Idiot of the year.
Oh, and in other, lesser news…

SVR11 TV Commercial
Who are they? Steamboat and who else??? Look up. At first a few guys on CAWs worked out that it should be RVD from a list…they got epically flamed. Then I started a topic about it and they continued, based on the same logic and got more crap from the idiots. Then Marcus himself warned one of said fools, that they should shush and stop nay-saying…as they might be proved wrong:
Seriously…if that’s not saying ‘Hey kids, RVD’s in the game this year!’ then what is? What’s even more remarkable is that some of the posters after this are so unbelievably dim-witted that they persisted in their absolutist opinion that RVD couldn’t possibly be in…
Of course, most of the trolls and winkie fiddlers who’re saying this stuff will suddenly announce that they were just kidding come tomorrow night….or I’ll look stupid and delete this post pretty damn quickly 🙂
I’m sodding off into obscurity for a few weeks…off into parts unknown. ‘The game’ comes out the day before I get back to civilization so I figured I’d best write this preview now since A.) we have most of the pre-release info and 2.) technology doesn’t seem to exist where I’m going. My invite to London to play the game must have got lost in the post…so for my average 90 or so regular weekly readers…I give you a CRAPPY review!
WWE Universe Mode
This…is by FAR the biggest improvement/addition in wrestling game history…at least for me. Like fat Greggy-poos…I used to write down match cards on note pads and play them out on the N64 and allow my imagination to fill in the gaps (story). Now, it does everything for me. I can play DX versus L.O.D. and have it turn into a heated feud where the Road Warriors turn heel and beat the life out of HBK and HHH…I can put Jake Roberts, Jimmy Snuka and Terry Funk in an old-school stable…add them to the SD! roster and watch them work their way up the roster…perhaps Snuka and Funk win the tag titles and Jake attacks Orton…maybe Cena turns heel and joins the nWo with CAWs of Nash and Hall. It’s never ending and I can tweak it till my hearts content or just sit back and let the Universe unfold. With 100 cut-scenes and a full year by year calendar of events, I can’t see me playing anything else in SVR11.
Now, I don’t mind playing RTWM but I’m not a big fan…for me, it gets in the way of me having everything unlocked from the start and being able to run my imaginary version of WWE. However, this year, the genius’ at THQ are allowing us, via DLC to unlock everything from the start. So with SVR11 I can play the RTWM in my own sweet time and actually enjoy it. On top of this, there’s free roaming where you can save Diva’s from flaming trash cans and throw Randy Orton on a table full of pizza! In the words of the Jerichoholic Ninja “Road to Wrestlemania in SVR 11 will be superior to the year previous! Hi-ya!” Speaking of Jerichoholics…I’m most looking forward to the Y2J storyline but there’s also a versus Taker RTWM where 5 different guys get a crack at ending the mania streak. Christian, Cena and lil’ Rey Rey also have their own stories to play through……
Here’s a picture of Kelly Kelly…just because.
DLC Fo’Shizzle Dizzle Bizzle Sizzle Pizzle…and whatnot.
This year!!! There will be 3 DLC packs! The first one is a freebie! You get Chris Masters…which ain’t so great…as well as Kelly Kelly and Rey Jr. in Halloween themed costumes…and some other stuff…DLC 2 has Bulldog and Luger as well as Nexus members (in Nexus gear!!!) Otunga, Gabriel and Barrett as well as the NXT arena! Awesome pack! Oh, yeah…and Layla. DLC 3 has some alt.attires for Taker, Cena and Punk as well as…wait for it…..waaaait for it! a WCW arena!!! Hell yeah bee-atch!
What a big-ass roster this year! 70+ ‘superstars’…we get some pretty amazing guys this year, other than the current guys I mean. Bulldog, Luger, Jake Roberts, Jimmy Snuka, Rock and Austin…heck, even Paul Bearer is in (NPC only I’m afraid). There’s two guys to be revealed on the legend roster still…apparently they’re AWESOME! I mean, they must be if THQ marketing saw fit to say they were unveiling them 2 or 3 times and then not right? Anyhow, we’ll know when the game comes out…they’re currently saying we’ll find out the last legend spots a few days before release but I don’t believe those dirty, lying, lazy no good, stinking, skanky, sleaze bag hos….only kidding…or am I? Yes…I’m not. No, THQ are lovely….honest. Last two legends will be revealed after we’ve had them leaked on the internet.
This…is a game changer kiddies! I won’t go on and on…you’ve seen not much else other than physics for months but dude…awesome.
Using 3 tiers of options we can now create our own stipulations in a match. Want a first blood HIAC match? Bloody hell! You have it in 2011! 2 out of 3 falls submission cage match! You bet your cotton panties! We were told we’d have a video last Friday but Tank very selfishly got married and it got held up. Who in the blue hell would think that a life altering event should be prioritized ahead of a match creator video? Seriously…bloody nitwit.
A billion and one extras…
Seriously…there’s so much in the game this year…from a wrestler coming out with two titles to a WCW ring to tons of alt.attires and unlockable belts…there’s not much that I could ask for. Masked Kane…Ministry Taker…old-school HBK (and don’t forget Shad’s alt.attire!!!). Story designer has been revamped with branching storylines and triggers and a ton of extra scenes…patterns are back in CAW mode…more SS moves…create-a-sign…you can pin after a lot of moves by choice…there’s so many more extra stuff…awesome stuff.
My slightly distracted conclusion (as I’m watching Juvi Vs. Jericho while I type)
This year…anyone that seriously calls THQ lazy can kiss my British ass. They’ve out-done themselves. I’d have been happy with half the new stuff we’ve seen. I honestly can’t believe how awesome this years SVR will be. It’s not a question of whether you should buy it…it’s an absolute must buy…if you don’t, puppies will die and you will have a miserable existence for the rest of the year while we – the one’s born with good sense will be 450 splashing Vince McMahon through tables and throwing chairs at Lex Luger.
Goodnight my pretties.

On Twitter, I sent Marcus Stephenson a message ‘Thank you THQ!‘.
Create-a-match is in!!! Now this is weird for me. I knew it would be in…I was 99% sure it was the case, yet I was both surprised and relieved that it was confirmed. There’s always that 1%, that little sickly feeling that makes you think ‘maybe it’s not that feature I’m hoping for…what if it’s something that’ll screw the game up’…so yes, relief. I see a lot of messages that show a lack of common sense and reason. ‘Ladder cage match in a cell with tables and fire!’…it would be cool…but logically, not going to happen. Not because THQ are lazy or because they enjoy screwing us over…it just can’t be done. It’s down to tech…loading times, slow down etc. BUT, this feature is going to be the awesome!
Best 2 out of 3 falls tables match? HELL YEAH! Iron man HIAC? Yup!!! For me, it’s not making over the top bouts that makes this amazing…it’s being able to have a 6-man tag with 2 out of 3 falls rules. I grew up watching 80’s WWF, I remember 4 and 6 man best of 3 falls bouts and I always loved them. Falls count anywhere Extreme Rules matches? I can’t wait!!!
Read more about RTWM, Rumble online and create a match…and a few other things…
I’m wondering how many people could potentially behave very hypocritically when uploading CAWs this year. How many of you always ask for THQ to allow us freedom and to be able to edit everything possible…this year we can edit a TON of stuff and have an unprecedented amount of control over the game…but I’m wondering how many of you will lock your CAWs? How many people’s egos will stop them from allowing us to edit their creations as we see fit? The thing is, I expect a lot to do so. Why? A lot of really good creators take themselves ridiculously seriously. I actually read a post by a CAW creator today where he referred to CAW making as his ‘career’…good grief. Don’t be a sod CAW peeps.
More info/details should be released today.
One last Legends prediction before some are revealed tomorrow…there’s 5 left.
1.) The Big Bossman
2.) Ricky Steamboat
3.) Honkytonk Man
4.) The Anvil
5.) Arn Anderson
Jake Roberts is a possibility…Ron Simmons and Scott Steiner are alternate picks for the WCW legend (if it’s not Lex ‘bloody’ Luger).
the game has been tested in the new GamePro. most important news that I had not heard here, is to edit the possibility matches. one can eg an iron man match play in the cage.
is explained in detail in the test did not. I hope it like with the n64 games, is there one could almost always a lot of cool combos set.
If that’s true, and I have thought this to be the case for a while, then SVR11 is complete and reeking of PURE awesomeness in my estimation. Now I must say that this is UNCOMFIRMED! This has not been announced by THQ and it is has not been posted by a gaming site as coverage of the press conference either. I’m treating it as pure speculation or simply as a rumor. However, it certainly does fit in with what Marcus and others have been saying about the ‘100+’ match claim…and it’s not a specific match in itself, but a match-type right? I have to warn anyone reading this that even if it is true…you shouldn’t immediately think ‘ROYAL RUMBLE IN A CELL!’ or ’10 MAN TLC IN 3 STACKED CELLS!’…You have to be realistic. You would probably be able to create a match similar to the HIAC opener – a 3 way, submissions count anywhere match…or a 4 man elimination…or an Extreme Rules ladder match. Even the last one, I’m thinking twice about…but if you can stipulate that a match is, say, 2 out of 3 falls…or a falls count anywhere TLC match then I’ll be MORE than happy.
Whether or not this is true…or whether the remaining legends are the Brooklyn Brawler and Pez Whatley…SVR11 is by far the best looking wrestling game in history. I say ‘best looking’ as I haven’t played it yet but it certainly seems to have the most promise.
I was just thinking how well the roster is turning out…well, I know we still don’t have it in full but THQ added Paul Bearer a long while back and he returned a month before the game comes out. Also, having Nexus members, whether they have the arm band and shirt or not, is pretty awesome.
Something to remember is that there’s a DLC pack 3. If people say ‘no comment’ or ‘wait and see’ or there’s something that you think should be in the game…it might still be coming.
New Info on Wednesday
The press conference that covered ‘tons’ of info on SVR11 took place in Dallas on Sunday. It’s said that the info will come out (or at least some of it) this Wednesday (source: http://twitter.com/#!/stephensonmc ). No idea where it’ll come from…IGN? Gamespot? The official site? If it comes out Thursday or Friday, don’t shoot Marcus (or me)…it’s 90% that it should be then but you never know.
I recently posted on CAWs.ws (I’m the Invisible Man) that I was embarrassed to be part of their community based on some of the comments directed at THQ and other members of the forums…I stand by that. I really wish that the decent SVR fans had a place to call their own where the trolls and idiots weren’t allowed. Perhaps that’s something I should make? An exclusive, invite-only forum?
Is it me or did Raw have a bigger and more impactful feel to it than the HIAC PPV?
I have a post that’s remained in the drafts folder for a week…it was called ‘Marcus and THQ’…and then renamed ‘Lazy THQ, really? REALLY?’. I’ll post it at some point but wanted to point out that although Marcus gave me a shout out on his Twitter (see quote below) that it won’t alter any opinions I offer. I am always 100% unbiased in my blogging and will remain so. Regardless, it was very flattering!
Thought this was a decent edit:
